In Autumn a parentless possum which resembled cartoon character Pokemon was taken to one of the clinics of Australia.
As the vets said the possum had a genetic alteration and the quantity of melanin was less from normal. Because of that the fur of the cutie got the color blonde.
Generally their color is gray. The small possum was 5 months and was noticed in the street by one of the animal rescuers. Maybe the baby had been lost and fell from the back of its mother.
The vets checked it. It was feeling fine and did not have wounds. It past the whole day in the clinic and the next day a volunteer started to take care of it.
Maybe if it is grown up it won’t be set free to the wild nature and it can be easily served as a prey for predators. As it can be under attention because of its color.
Currently the possum receives the proper care and it is in the process of growing up. It is not still clear how the fate of the little animal be. But it had already managed to be popular on the Internet.
Its cute pics were posted on Facebook. And they were shared more than thousands of times. Hope in future it appear in safe hands.
