It’s an amazing story about a fisherman who rescued a crocodile and befriended it for 22 years. Real photos are shared a thousand times on Facebook.
The friendship started near a river in Costa Rica. An alligator that was on the verge of death is saved by a fisherman, named Shedden Chito. He took care of the crocodile to return it to the wild.
Little did he know he would find the alligator the next day, which would mark the beginning of an incredible friendship that would last 22 years. “Once an alligator followed me and every time it comes to me when I call it. I understood that it could be manipulative,” Chito said. The crocodile, called Pocho was injured in the right eye by a farmer who feared the animal could be offensive to his livestock.
“I wanted him to understand that I’m ready to save him, to make people understand that not everyone is wild,” Chito said. “And since that day we became real friends.”
