Mother giraffe wanted to protect her poor cub from the liquid lion with all her might
The wild world is irremediably a dangerous place, especially when for newborns surrounded by wild predatory animals. A wildlife photographer has captured a giraffe in a series of photos.
A mother in an unpleasant situation tried to defend her cub from the danger of the hungry lion. Indian Govindaraj Ramachandiran filmed the painful scene during his presence in the Masai Mara National Park. The giraffes first tried to avoid the hyena, which they eventually did.
From a distance, we saw a mother giraffe right on her feet and when we approached, we understood that a hyena was trying to attack the cub,” said the young photographer.
“After half an hour the hyena left and the giraffe took her calf deep into the topical region.
Yet she did not notice that there was a hidden lion. But now the mother giraffe’s desperate efforts to save her baby have been in vain. Despite the firmness of the giraffe, nature has resumed its cruelty. “Even under the lion’s strong legs, the mother was helpless,” Ramachandiran recalled.
