It is well known that a bear is very fond of eating honey, and this practice will not change so soon. They love it and will put in a lot of effort to get it for themselves. They look great, but can be frustrating for anyone trying to store honey. When a herd of bears regularly frequented the apiary, the beekeeper, Sedef Ibrahim, decided to do something. He did everything he could to keep the bears away, but things didn’t always go his way.
He lives in Trabzon, and works as a beekeeping technician. He did everything to avoid bears so that they wouldn’t enter this colony of bees. He secured the hive with barbed wire and left no other food to attract the cubs’ attention. Four types of honey were laid out on the table to see which was the favorite honey of these animals. So they liked the aroma of Anzer honey. Sometimes they didn’t even care about cherry honey. Anzer is a high-quality Armenian honey that sells for $300 for two pounds.
