The true reason Julia Roberts won’t participate in naked scenes has been made public.
The 56-year-old actress has shied away from sensual parts; even during her well-known stint as a prostitute in Pretty Woman, she wore full clothing.
She stated in an interview with scriptwriter Richard Curtis for her British Vogue cover debut that she wants to support other women who feel compelled to undress in front of the camera.
When asked if her actions in her films have given her “any sentiments of obligation to other women,” Julia responded, “My G-rated profession…
“You know, I guess it’s a decision I make for myself to not strip off in a movie or be physically vulnerable in any way, not to be criticizing others’ choices.”
She continued by disclosing that her unexpected connection to a feminist icon may have anything to do with her unwavering position.
Julia disclosed that she completed her family tree with Dr. Henry Gates, the star of Finding Your Roots, and she said, “I am DNA cousins with Gloria Steinem.”
For the benefit of her kids, the Oscar-winning actress had previously stated that she didn’t want to undress.
She responded, “You know it’s not really what I do, so if you are going to ask me to do it, you have to expect it to be toned down,” when asked if she would consider filming a nude scene in a movie.

In2002, Julia wed cameraman Danny Moder, and the couple welcomed twins Phinnaeus Walter and Hazel Patricia in 2004. They welcomed their son Henry there years later.
When asked what contributed to her good looks, the radiant redhead reflected, “I do believe in the love of a good man, but I also believe in good genes and leading a fulfilling life.”
She went on to praise her spouse for keeping her looking young.
“I think my spouse genuinely loves and takes care of me, and it makes me feel incredibly happy.”
