It’s just a beautiful friendship of a pelican and a man who play together on a boat
Condon Geoffrey definitely has the best job in the world. He manages the Lodges Nomad camp, where all kinds of animals live.
So, for him, a day at camp means keeping busy with adorable animals that live in the wilderness of Tanzania. Among them are gazelles, zebras, elephants, and hippos. Despite Condon being surrounded by these animals, he has a surprising connection to the pelican.
For a few years, these web-footed birds had been heading to the beach after falling from their group during a storm. And this man took care of the birds, and an incredible friendship appeared between a pelican and him. Condon knew the bird was an orphan and he shared his skills with the Financial Times: “I started teaching him to fish a year ago because he didn’t have his own company.”
Big Bird, whom Condon called his never-seen mate, finally learned to catch fish. “I was very happy for him,” he told Geoffrey. Watch the video!
