Nearly eight months after splitting, the ‘Break Free’ singer and the real estate agent finalized their divorce.
The divorce between Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez is now final. She started seeing her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater during the summer after the estranged couple divorced earlier this year.
According to court records obtained by E! News, the 30-year-old “Side by Side” musician first asked for spousal support and the distribution of property, as outlined in her and Dalton’s prenuptial agreement. Records indicate that Ariana wants “miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects,” in addition to all earnings and accumulations, to be confirmed as separate property. Ariana submitted these records on September 18. The Don’t Look Up actress also asked for her and her 28-year-old former spouse to split the cost of the attorney’s expenses. According to the records, the couple separated on February 20. Ariana listed “irreconcilable differences” as the basis for their divorce.
Dalton responded to Ariana’s filing the same day, according to the real estate agent’s filing. He urged the court to save the matter for a later decision because he did not ask for spousal support. But on October 6, the couple reached a settlement and Ariana reportedly decided to make a one-time payment of $1.25 million to Dalton in lieu of regular spousal support.
After nearly two years of marriage, Ariana and Dalton announced their separation in July. With the exception of the infrequent Instagram photos the “Side to Side” pop diva would share, the now-ex-couple kept their romance largely a secret while they were dating. The couple apparently made an effort to get back together earlier this year, according to their separation date. But in the end, they decided to call it quits in February.
The costar of Ariana, Ethan, 31, filed for divorce from his estranged wife, Lilly Jay, after nearly five years of marriage not long after their separation was made official earlier this summer. The couple married in high school and had a son in 2022. When news of the Broadway actor’s new relationship with Ariana broke, Lilly addressed the issue in a statement that Page Six was able to receive.
“Really, the story is about Arianna. Lily said in July, “Not a girl’s girl. “My family is just a byproduct,” Her priority, she continued, is on being a “good mom” to the kid she and Ethan are expecting.
Neither Ariana nor Ethan have made any public remarks about their relationship. But on September 6, the Nickelodeon alum showed her partner some love by “liking” his Instagram post. Later on in the month, they were seen visiting a Disney park with some friends.
