Taylor Swift recently became a billionaire

The three comma club welcomes you.

In addition to having won three Album of the Year awards and more than 12 Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift started her career in 2006 at the age of 15, and she has amassed quite the repertoire, including the most number-one debuts by a female performer. Now that Swift has officially entered the billionaire era, she is adding yet another title to her already amazing resume.

According to a Bloomberg story today, the multihyphenate celebrity became a billionaire, an uncommon accomplishment for a pop artist. Taylor became a billionaire after her record-breaking Eras tour, which made history (including becoming the highest-grossing concert film during its opening weekend) and brought in $80 million in music sales. Her re-recording projects, which are estimated to be worth $400 million, also contributed to her success. The estimated net worth of the singer-songwriter is $1.1 billion.
The “Blank Space” singer said in 2019 that she was working on re-recording her previous albums. This Friday, nine years after the original album’s release, she released 1989 (Taylor’s Version), perfectly timed to celebrate her newfound financial status.

“I was born in 1989, reinvented for the first time in 2014, and a part of me was reclaimed in 2023 with the release of this album I love so dearly,” Taylor posted on X (previously known as Twitter) on October 26. “Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the magic you would sprinkle on my life for so long. This moment is a reflection of the woods we’ve wandered through and all this love between us still glowing in the darkest dark. I present to you, with gratitude and wild wonder, my version of 1989. It’s been waiting for you.”
