During her first naked scene, Salma Hayek sobbed and wouldn’t let go of her towel
Salma Hayek acknowledged that she sobbed while recording her very first naked scene because she was too afraid to let go of her towel.
She considered that sequence from 1995’s Desperado to be “traumatising.” She shed tears when it came time to undress while working with Antonio Banderas, who plays Puss in Boots.
She clarified, saying, “I started to cry when we were about to start shooting. “I don’t know that I can do it,” I remarked. I’m terrified.
Antonio was one of the things I was terrified of; he was really free-spirited but also an incredible gentleman and nice guy; we are now very close friends.
It frightened me that it seemed insignificant to him. When I began to cry, he exclaimed, “Oh my God.” You’re really getting on my nerves. And I started crying because I felt so ashamed.”
Salma overcame her anxiety and eventually took off her towel, thanks to Antonio’s ample supply of jokes. However, she started crying again and covered up multiple times.
She acknowledged, “We made it through.” We exerted every effort within our power throughout that period.
She was afraid that her family would find her in her underwear and say, “You can do it when you’re not yourself.” However, my brother and father are never far from my thoughts.
Will they be able to witness it? Will they too be made fun of? Men don’t possess that. “Yes, that is my son,” will be your father’s reaction.
In any case, she did bring her family to attend the movie, but when it was time for her to strip, she left the premiere.
“I took my brother, father, and mother with me when I left the premiere when it was played,” she revealed to the Armchair Expert Podcast.
I wished that none of them would see it. They were content to leave straight immediately, and we returned later. They must not have observed anything.
She was still “apprehensive” to film a sex scene more than ten years later since she was accustomed to her co-stars’ “wandering eyes.”
