“I just feel like the world is so full of hate right now that we need to practice a little forgiveness,” said Bass.
Lance Bass wishes that Justin Timberlake’s fans would pardon him.
The 44-year-old former member of *NSYNC recently discussed his feelings over the criticism his former bandmate has been receiving following Britney Spears’s disclosure of multiple details about their past relationship in her autobiography The Woman in Me.
“Look, I mean everyone has their own opinion,” Bass stated in a TMZ video that was made public. “I just feel like the world is so full of hate right now that we need to practice a little forgiveness.”
“Britney did. So, let’s take a note from her,” added him.
The singer of “Better Place,” who seemed to be at the airport, stated that he had already bought Spears’ autobiography and intended to “read it on the plane.”
“Everyone deserves to tell their story,” Bass said so. “She did and, you know, I hope the fans can again find some forgiveness.”
Timberlake disabled his Instagram comments earlier this week following the “Toxic” singer’s revelations in her biography regarding their 1999–2002 romance. These included claims that she had an abortion after Timberlake informed her that he “didn’t want to be a father” and that he had cheated on her.
“I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” in the book, Spears writes. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”
He has apologized for his previous actions and offered support to Spears in her efforts to break her 13-year conservatorship, which was formally ended in November 2021, even if he hasn’t yet commented on Spears’ disclosures.

“We should all be supporting Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was… what’s happening to her is just not right,” he posted on X, which at the time was known as Twitter. “No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body. No one should EVER be held against their will… or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for.”
Prior to the publication of her memoir, Spears told PEOPLE that, “It is finally time for me to raise my voice and speak out, and my fans deserve to hear it directly from me. No more conspiracy, no more lies — just me owning my past, present and future.”
