Kim Kardashian is acting like a boss once more.
Her shapewear company SKIMS announced on Monday that it is now the official underwear partner of USA Basketball, the non-profit organization in charge of managing men’s and women’s teams competing in international competitions, as well as the National Basketball Association (NBA), Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), and both.
The multiyear agreement will “leverage the power of basketball to generate excitement and demand,” according to a press release, and it will soon take place at upcoming major events like the NBA All-Star Game and the NBA In-Season Tournament.
Furthermore, SKIMS will be promoted on a range of league platforms, including digital and social media outlets as well as on-court signage that is displayed during games that are televised.
Kardashian, co-founder and creative director of SKIMS, said in a statement, “I am incredibly proud of SKIMS partnership with the NBA, as it is a reflection of SKIMS growing influence on culture.” “I look forward to seeing the partnership flourish as SKIMS and the NBA work together to connect people of all backgrounds through fashion, sport, and talent.”
The company’s co-founder and CEO, Jens Grede, whose wife Emma Grede co-stars with Khloé Kardashian on Good American, said of the partnership: “It represents a fantastic chance for SKIMS and the NBA to collaborate on ideas for engaging the next generation of basketball fans.”
Adam Silver, the NBA commissioner, highlighted all the various ways that SKIMS and the organization can engage with their respective fan bases as a result of the important partnership.
Kardashian debuted an athlete-focused SKIMS campaign last week called “Everybody is Wearing SKIMS,” which featured Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Neymar Jr. of Brazilian soccer, and Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers as models for the brand’s new menswear collection, which went on sale on October 26.
The range includes men’s briefs, boxers, tanks, and t-shirts that are influenced by the same design concept used in its popular womenswear.
